Assist™

Advanced Heparin Coating

Medical Coatings Overview

Medical coatings provided by BioInteractions, such as our Advanced Heparin Coating (biocompatible and tissue compatible), Surface Active Antimicrobial Coating and Highly Lubricious Coating are at the top end of innovation. The applications for these coatings lie in perfusion, infusion, implantable products, sensors, and in-vitro diagnostics.

Why

Assist™?

The Assist™ Hydrophilic Coating delivers a high-performance lubricious surface for long term applications. The coating enables the surface to significantly reduce the frictional resistance which reduces tissue damage and improves comfort when delivering or removing a device in a patient.

The coating has a proven record of high performance in stability which helps the device to retain its position for longer periods of time whilst adds additional benefits to the patient. The coating includes a non-thrombogenic agent which enables the coating to perform for longer periods of time. The agent prevents deposition and adhesion of cells onto the device surface. This hinders occlusion of the device and allows the device to remain in position for longer periods of time.

What is

Assist™?

Assist™ Hydrophilic Coating uses a two-factor approach to reduce the friction at the device-body interface for long periods of time.

The coating includes a non-thrombogenic agent which prevents deposition and adhesion of cells onto the device surface. This helps the long-term performance by reducing ability of components interacting with the surface. The coating hindersocclusion of the device and allows the device to remain in position for extensive use. This helps to improve the comfort for patients.Assist™ utilises a two-factor approach to reduce the issues seen at the device-body interface. The friction isreduced between the surfacesand improves the delivery and removal of a device to minimise the tissue damage and improve the patient’s comfort.
